KodlContemporary x HX Clinic

The loan of artworks by Czech contemporary artist Jan Kaláb to HX Clinic was facilitated by KodlContemporary gallery.

KodlContemporary is a Prague-based gallery with an international programme, connecting Czech art with the global art scene. Through exhibitions, international projects, and participation in leading art fairs worldwide, the gallery strengthens the visibility of Czech art and reinforces Prague’s position as a vibrant centre of contemporary culture. Building on more than 130 years of the Kodl family’s tradition of art collecting and patronage, KodlContemporary provides a platform for both emerging and established artists. Founded in 2025, the gallery is located in a distinctive glass-cube exhibition space on Pařížská Street in Prague 1.

From 12 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, KodlContemporary will present a solo exhibition of Jan Kaláb, showcasing a new direction in his artistic practice.

Jan Kaláb (b. 1978) has established himself as a prominent figure in contemporary abstract art on the international stage. He has seamlessly integrated his background in graffiti with formal academic training in drawing and painting, developing a highly sophisticated visual language that bridges painting and sculpture. His aesthetic draws on the traditions of geometric abstraction and Op Art, which he reinterprets through organic forms and colour gradients. His artistic practice is rooted in the exploration of natural phenomena and elemental forms.

Kaláb’s works have been exhibited in major cities around the world, including London, Rome, Berlin, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. His works are also represented in international institutional collections, including the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in the United States, the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro, and the DEJI Art Museum in China.
